Bellevue is a "managing for results" city, and wants residents to know it spends wisely. Being publicly accountable, spending limited resources effectively and efficiently while providing value to stakeholders — is very important to Bellevue's elected and appointed officials. To this end, Bellevue uses a variety of tools to keep in touch with residents and examine its performance regularly.
- Annual Performance Survey: A scientifically valid citizen survey to assess how residents view our services and overall performance.
- Biennial Budget Survey: Conducted every two years to learn about resident budget priorities, the importance and level of satisfaction with city services, and the value residents feel they get for their tax dollars.
- Annual Performance Report: An award winning "Service Efforts and Accomplishments Report" that communicates citywide performance results. A citizen-based collection of performance measures and community indicators called "Bellevue Vital Signs" gives the reader a sense of the city's overall health. Departments report their performance in annual "scorecards."
- Comparing Bellevue to other Cities: Bellevue participates in a national program sponsored by the International City and County Management Association, Center for Performance Measurement. We regularly produce a Comparative Cities Performance Report showing trend data and how the City of Bellevue compares to other local and national jurisdictions. It's all part of our effort to deliver high quality municipal services and be accountable to our citizens.
- Other Performance Data: Other performance related data and reports that may be of interest.
