The Crossroads Community Center opened in 1981, specializing in recreation and social services for at-risk youth. The Center has grown in focus to include many recreation and human service programs for pre-school, elementary-age youth and families from the increasingly diverse neighborhood. The Center provides comprehensive recreational, educational and human services programs and activities.
The building has been expanded to offer additional programs, as well as meeting space for the community. The renovated space includes:
- A large multi-use room with an attached warming kitchen that can seat up to 120 people
- Four smaller multi-use programming spaces as well as a conference room
- Hallways to improve circulation
- Increased storage.
