To help Crossroads continue growing as the commercial, civic and community center of east Bellevue, the community, property owners and the city worked together to develop the Crossroads Center Plan. In the spring and fall of 2006, about 30 community members and property owners met on six occasions to discuss Crossroads' future and to help the city create the draft plan.

As a result of those planning efforts, the City Council in April 2007 amended the city’s comprehensive plan and the Crossroads subarea plan (Ordinance No. 5729) to allow additional street landscaping, better access to the park and, possibly, mixed-use, multifamily developments north of Northeast Eighth Street.
Additional actions are anticipated to implement the Crossroads Subarea Plan, including amendments to the Land Use Code. Those amendments, as they are drafted and reviewed, will be posted here. At this time, there is not a set schedule for adoption of Land Use Code amendments. Community participation will continue to be important and we welcome your comments.
