VISION: Crossroads Center will continue to grow as the commercial, civic and community center of East Bellevue. Implementing the vision will require both public and private efforts, and likely some level of negotiation between the city and property owners.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES: We heard from the community that the improvements and changes to the Crossroads Center should:

Promote a long-term vision for the Crossroads commercial area.
Strengthen Crossroads’ role as the center of East Bellevue.
Build on and enhance the existing strengths.
Meet the needs of and celebrate the demographically diverse community.
Facilitate the long-term economic viability of the Crossroads commercial area.
Create a series of integrated indoor and outdoor community gathering places.
Enhance connections to open spaces in Crossroads Park & commercial areas.
Include a pedestrian system that safely and visibly connects uses.
Be transit supportive in site layout, building orientation, pedestrian connectivity.
Be comprehensive – solutions should embrace streets, retail, residential & park.
Be “green” by integrating sustainable development.
Allow flexibility and adaptability to meet future needs as they evolve.
