Parks and Open Space Plan Park Plan Update The city is beginning an update to the Parks and Open Space System Plan, which guides the growth and development of Bellevue's parks system. Input from residents is vital. Tell us what's important to you.
In the new Parks & Community Services Blog , Parks planner Camron Parker explains what the park plan is all about and invites residents to comment, particularly in the "What Should We Talk About" post. In addition to the blog, stay tuned for other ways to provide input – through surveys, presentations to community groups and other methods.
2003 Parks & Open Space System Plan Bellevue’s 2003 Parks & Open Space System Plan is the primary tool used to guide the growth and development of the city's parks system.
The Park Plan guides staff and the Parks & Community Services Board when making recommendations to the City Council on the acquisition, development and management of parks and open space citywide. It is instrumental in developing the Parks & Community Services Department's capital budget and Capital Investment Program (CIP) plan.
Originally drafted in 1993 based on the city’s mission and long-term vision of the park system, the Park Plan was updated in 2003 with extensive public input.
